Commissioners discuss medical marijuana zoning laws

Medford, Ore. — Exactly one month before the county’s moratorium on medical marijuana expires commissioners are hearing from the public on their concerns about where the dispensaries could be placed.

Jackson County commissioners met today and heard zoning recommendations from the county’s planning director. They also heard comments from the public.

No votes were made. Commissioner Doug Breidenthal said they need more time to establish a buffer zone between potential dispensaries and parks and also urbanized areas in White City.

They will hear from the public again at their next meeting on April 29th.
