Confirmed shooting in Williams

Update (12/9 11am) — Some uneasiness in Josephine County after a 30-year-old man was shot in Williams on Tuesday afternoon.

A neighbor called police after hearing gunfire in his Sheraton Drive neighborhood, “I heard a man and a woman yelling,” said James Jordan, “I heard…I’m sure it was a guy say I’ll kill you.”

Oregon State Police and the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office arrived quickly and the area became a crime scene.

While authorities remain tight lipped about what exactly happened they did confirm a man in his 30’s was shot in the arm by a man in his 50’s.

Officials say the victim in the shooting is in stable condition at Three Rivers Medical Center.

Update (12/8 4pm) — Police are on scene at Sheraton Drive and Williams Highway following an alleged shooting involving a 50-year-old male and 30-year-old male. The 30-year-old male was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. The 50-year-old male suspect is currently being questioned by police.

Williams, Ore. — NBC5 News has confirmed a shooting occurred Tuesday afternoon in Williams.
