Vernon Parish, La. — (KALB) A Louisiana man is behind bars, accused of attempting to buy a child for sex.
66-year-old Ernest Kickel, Jr. is charged with “attempted aggravated rape” and for “trafficking children for sexual purposes.”
The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police arrested Kickel after receiving a tip from an informant.
“He knew the informant just casually,” said Sheriff Sam Craft. “Why he determined he wanted to go into this conversation, I don’t know. I’m glad he did. I’m glad that informant brought it to our attention.”
