Crews battle 50 acre fire near Selma

Selma, Ore. –Fire crews are fighting a grass fire near Selma, that has grown to 50 acres in just a couple hours.

Numerous crews got the  call around four o’clock on Friday afternoon. The blaze is burning near Illinois River road.

Video was posted by the Oregon Department of Forestry on Facebook. ODF said three structures have been destroyed, and residents near Deer Creek have evacuated.

Traffic in the area has been backed up to Hayes Hill. Stay with NBC5 News for updates on this developing story.
