Medford, Ore. — So often on Veteran’s day, we ask adults how veterans have impacted their life. But this Veteran’s day, NBC5 looks forward and asks the next generation, how important are veterans to us?
“We chose to sign away that blank check that said I will give life for our country,” Michelle Condon said, US Veteran.
Some are only young enough to recognize what a veteran is. Some, have already experienced it themselves because of a family member.
“It means a thanks to all those who served and those who gave us our freedom,” Bryce and Elijah said, 5th and 6th graders.
No matter what age or their familiarity with veterans, the message was always the same.
“Thank you, thank you, veterans,” Bryce and Elijah said.
