Douglas County 911 service disrupted

Douglas Co., Ore. — Residents in Douglas county may not be able to call 9-1-1, due to an outage.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the Reedsport area, and other coastal communities may be affected.

Residents may not be able to make emergency calls on landline phones, but authorities say the calls should go through on cell phones.

If you need help, you can call the Reedsport Police Department at 541-271-2100.

It’s not clear how many people are affected, or when the service will be restored.
