Driver arrested for DUII in Medford rollover

rollover medfordMedford, Ore. —  Medford Police are investigating a single car rollover that nearly took out a sign and concrete wall Sunday morning, that sent two people to the hospital.

Officers said just before 10:30, the Kia was driving down Court street, and took the turn at Edwards too fast.

They said the car went off the road, and hit a large concrete sign, causing it to roll.

“It had to hit with quite a bit of force, because it’s concrete, it knocked the concrete out of it’s position, and partially destroyed the wall,” Medford Police Sergeant Tom Ianieri said.

Two people were taken the hospital, the extent of their injuries are not known. Police say a young child was in the car, but appears to be uninjured.

MPD said speed is being considered a factor in this crash. The driver was charged with DUII, reckless driving, and assault.
