20 year-old James Harrison Georgeson Jr, who goes by the name Jimmy, was shot to death by U.S. Marshals after a chase ended in the parking lot of the West Medford Albertson’s grocery store.
One witness said “He starts pulling forward and the cop starts shooting.” Another witness said “They just shot him.”
A heavy scenario for his sister, Karly Greico and her family, who found out through a phone call that her brother had been shot to death. She said “We were just at home and the neighbor called and said someone was shot and it was a gold/silver durango and there was 2 Hispanic friends with him. That was the last we heard, that he was with his friends.” She says her brother has been running from the law because of drugs and burglaries.
Researching his criminal history we found Georgeson was on U.S. Marshal hold in Multnomah County on charges of assaulting a U.S. Marshal in October of 2009. He was also convicted in Jackson County for a parole violation and burglary back in September of 2011.
Tonight he and 2 others, one believed to be his girlfriend, were in the Dodge Durango when U.S. Marshals attempted to stop the car. They were detained.
Ricky Castaneda said “He started pulling forward and the cops just started shooting and then like he comes up and hits another cop car right here and then that cop gets out too and starts shooting and then these kids backup. Then they pulling this kid out and doing CPR on him and I’m thinking he is dead.”
We had spoken to Jimmy previously in 2005 after a meteor shower. He spoke with us excited about what he saw. During that interview in 2005, Jimmy said “It wasn’t going so fast you couldn’t see it.”
