Klamath Falls, Ore. — A dog dies as fire destroys a home just south of Klamath Falls early Wednesday morning.
Fire crews were called out to this home on Matney Road shortly before 8. Witnesses say they saw sparks at the area where power lines entered the home.
Crews say they had to fight the fire with limited water resources.
“Because this building is so far out of town, we’re having water supply issues – and right now, it’s looking like this house will be a total loss,” explains Tom Morehouse of the Klamath County Fire District No. 1.
There were no people home at the time of the fire, and investigators say no dollar estimate of damage has been made.
