Former defense attorney for Susan Monica under investigation

Ore. — The Oregon State Bar is investigating a former defense attorney for accused murderer Susan Monica.

Jackson County District Attorney Beth Heckert says back in October, Zachary Wayne Light pleaded guilty to a count of invasion of personal privacy.

She says in March of 2014 Light secretly video recorded a teen changing clothes.

It’s a misdemeanor, but it is still a serious charge obviously. It involved placing a camera someplace where they thought they had some privacy and them changing their clothes and capturing that on camera,” says Heckert.

Light was sentenced to five years’ probation, he was ordered to stay away from children and complete a sex offender treatment program.

A spokesperson for the Oregon State Bar says the investigation could take up to a year and could result in a public reprimand, suspension of Light’s law license or disbarment.
