‘Guns R Us’ broken into, multiple firearms stolen

MEDFORD, Ore.– Multiple guns were stolen from Guns R Us in Medford, when the store was broken into Thursday morning, just after 6 AM.

The owner, Jonathan Purtzer, said a display case was broken into, and guns were taken. Purtzer will not release the amount of firearms that were taken, or the kind of weapon. He declined an on-camera interview.

Purtzer said an entire handgun display case was broken into, and confirmed that the display case holds a large quantity of handguns. He also said that he will be increasing his security measures.

Medford Police have declined to comment on the case, and said no information will be released at this time. It’s not known if the ongoing investigation is the reason for their lack of comment. NBC5 News will continue to follow up on this story.
