Huey Huson Murder Investigation: 3 years later

MEDFORD, ORE. —  Tuesday marks 3 years since the murder of taxi cab driver William Huey Huson.

It’s one of the only unsolved crimes in the Medford Police Department.

On October 20th, 2012, Huson picked up a passenger at Howies on Front street in downtown Medford and told dispatchers he was heading towards Vilas Road. He was never heard from again.

Investigators initially found his cab near 9th and Almond in Downtown Medford.  Hours later, they found his body, 5 miles away near Vilas and Helo.

Despite the fact no suspect or person of interest has been named in case, Detective Tony Young says they have made progress in the investigation.

“This last year, we were able to use a new method for processing some of the evidence that we have in this case. Unfortunately, that didn’t yield anything,” Young says.

Police say they have a description of a possible suspect. They are described as a white male between 25 and 35 years old,  about 6 foot in height and weighing between 170 and 190 pounds.

If you have any information you are asked to call police.
