“Hugs From Heaven” Visits Asante Rogue Regional NICU

Jazz Monarch is just one of the seventeen babies here in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.

“This is such a challenging experience,” says mother of Jazz, Jessica Monarch.

Jazz has been in the NICU now for more than 2 months already. He and his mom Jessica will be here for Christmas. But 12 year old Hannah Joseph is helping all the families with babies in the NICU feel the spirit of Christmas.

Hannah delivered 23 bags full of goodies donated to her by the community.

She say “my goal is to help my grandmother achieve to help the babies.”

Hannah got the idea when she was just 7 years old. Her grandma, Annete Bueoy wanted to be an Asante Cuddler.

Hannah says “my grandma wanted to do that, but she got cancer and passed away, it’s kinda hard to think that she’s gone now.”

Now Hannah is keeping her Grandma Nanny’s memory alive.

Hannah says “I think she’d be proud of me for what I have done here.”

“I have chills right now, it touches my heart,” says mother Jessica.

One baby bag and one family at a time. Hannah says this year she delivered more bags than ever before. She hopes to continue with hugs from heaven, donating more and more bags each year.
