Hunt continues in Oregon for missing Kentucky men

Portland, Ore. — (KGW) Two men from Kentucky are still missing after investigators say they came to Oregon to camp but then apparently never hit the trail.

Authorities hope the warm weather will bring out more hikers around Mt. Hood who might help provide clues to the men’s disappearance.

Reportedly the men went to a ranger station on Sept. 2 inquiring about hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. But when officers found their car it was full of camping supplies.

It seems unlikely to investigators that they would leave that much gear behind while they went on a several day hike.

They say the two haven’t contacted family or neighbors since mid August.
