KOBI-TV NBC 5 is pleased to announce the completion of the installation of a new transmitter on Medford Baldy Mountain, east of Phoenix, Oregon. This state-of-the-art transmitter will provide an improved digital television signal to the Rogue Valley including Medford, Central Point, Phoenix, Talent, Ashland, Jacksonville and Eagle Point. Operating on UHF Channel 32 with the call letters K32DY-D, viewers will be able to pick up the improved signal with smaller UHF antennas. The channel will appear as 5.1 (NBC HD) and 5.2 (ThisTV). Viewers in some areas who had difficulty receiving the signal from the previous transmitter may have to re-scan their digital TV sets to receive the new transmitter.
