Jackson Co. Commissioner candidates debate in Medford

Medford, Ore. — The four candidates for Jackson County Commissioner took turns with the microphone at a debate on Monday.

The debate was held by the Mail Tribune in their conference room at noon. All four candidates took turns answering questions that were submitted by the audience.

“It’s been very helpful to be here, and hear their different goals for the future, what they can do as commissioners, what they can offer to the table,” Charlotte Cook said, an audience member.

Questions that were raised include travel expenses, the homeless population and mental health, as well as marijuana laws.
