JACO Sheriff’s Office searching for suspect after high speed chase in Central Point

Central Point, Ore. –The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect after a high speed chase ends in dramatic fashion in Central Point.

It all started at 1:45 p.m. when someone called police saying they recognized a wanted suspect.

Sheriff’s deputies gave chase and eventually took control of the jeep in Central Point where both suspects fled on foot. Deputies arrested the driver but the passenger is still on the loose. They’re searching the area with K-9 units. Meanwhile, neighbors describe the wild scene.

Deputies wouldn’t tell us the name of the suspect but they say the man they arrested is the wanted individual they were searching for.

They say if you see anything suspicious in the area call 911. Oregon State Police and Central Point police were also involved in the chase.
