Josephine County, Ore. — The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office is looking for new volunteers to join the Search and Rescue division.
Applicants must be physically fit and capable of carrying a 25 pound pack over varying terrain, with no criminal convictions in the past 5 years, and a valid driver’s license.
To join, applicants would attend an upcoming 72 hour Search and Rescue Academy spanning 4 weekends and maintain 30 hours per year of Search and Rescue training.
