Klamath County Sheriff Candidate Withdraws

One of the 8 candidates for Klamath County Sheriff is pulling out of the race, but his name will still be on the ballot.

Greg Rote has announced that he’s suspending his run for Sheriff.

Rote says the biggest factor has been the recent death of his employer, Paul Arri-Tola. “Now because of that, my workload has increased dramatically, and I feel obligated to stick around and complete what needs to be done.”

It’s too late to remove Rote’s name from the ballot, as those ballots have already been printed.

Those ballots were mailed to military voters overseas on March 31st.
