Interior Secretary Ken Salazar says he won’t be able to make a decision on dam removal next month unless congress takes action.
Salazar had planned to make an announcement by march 31st regarding removal of 4 dams from the Klamath River.
However, congress hasn’t approved a bill that would authorize Salazar to make that determination. Bills to give that authorization were introduced late last year but they haven’t had hearings in the house, or senate.
