Klamath Falls ‘Graduation Sensation’ parade

Klamath Falls, Ore. – About 450 high school seniors in Klamath Falls got a special graduation present Thursday afternoon.

Students from Klamath County, and Klamath Falls City Schools marched downtown for the first ‘Graduation Sensation’ parade.

“It’s incredible,” said Mazama High School Senior Curtis Anderson. “It’s the culmination of years and years of hard work, studying, and homework – and all the things that you dread doing when you’re younger.  It all kind of comes to a close now.”

A party followed at Veterans Memorial Park, where nearly $20,000 in scholarship money was presented.

The event was organized by the ‘Klamath Promise’, which has a 100% graduation goal.
