Klamath Falls, Ore. — Thousands lined main street in Klamath Falls Saturday night for the ‘Kruise of Klamath’.
The ‘Kruise’ was led by a 1937 Chevy Coupe owned by George Hooker of Bonanza.
The car has special meaning for hooker, as he underwent a heart transplant halfway through the restoration.
He said, “Idid have complications, serious ones after the heart transplant. Ii lost my memory, and thanks to my wife, Donna – she helped me get my memory back, and get me back into my car, and it was just super therapy.”
The ‘Kruise’ has its roots in a simple get together of a local car club back in 1983.
The event has grown to the point that there is now a 500 car limit.
