Local Artist Benefits From Construction

As construction booms in our area, so do construction jobs. But don’t forget to add opportunities for local artists.

Kevin Christman, who currently has an art studio in Talent, was just chosen to create stained glass windows and sculptures for St. Mary’s School expansion in Medford.

He said he’s excited for the opportunity, especially in the slow economy.

“I just took a hit a couple years ago with things I had lined up and ended up getting canceled because all the expansion projects got canceled so I kind of had to re-think and scramble to get back again,” explained Christman.

He said it’s good news for the entire valley when artists work and buy materials locally because money stays in the community.
