Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey is hopping on the band wagon and joining other sheriff’s in our region by opposing stricter gun control laws. On your screen is the letter that Sheriff Lopey wrote to Vice President Joe Biden earlier this month. In it, he expresses his opposition to limiting gun rights. Jackson County Sheriff Mike Winters, Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilbertson and Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin have all said they’re against more gun control and intend to uphold second amendment rights.
