Local realtors raise thousands to help families in need

Medford, Ore.– Realtors at John L. Scott are teaming up with clients and local organizations to help families in need.

Dozens of boxes of food complete with a turkey and pie were inside their Medford office. All of them are going to more than 70 families in need tonight. And each of the children in those families received gifts hand picked by the realtors.

The brokers raised $7,000 for all of these gifts and they said it’s worth it.

“We as realtors are so blessed by this community that it’s nice to be able to give back to them. You know it’s something that i’m passionate about just because Christmas is important and little kids look forward to that and they don’t understand that their parents can;t necessarily provide for them,” said Deanna Sickler.

All of this was inspired by the owner of the company, who back in 2008, had a vision to help people in this community especially children.
