Man arrested after eluding police

MEDFORD, ORE. — Aman who tried to run from police is in jail.

Medford Police say that an officer attempted to stop 52 year old Jeffrey Kenton on Barrnet Road but Kenton drove off.

He eventually crashed his car behind Black Bear Diner and ran on foot.

Police found him hiding nearby in possession of meth.

He was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of meth, criminal mischief 2nd degree, contempt of court, hit and run – vehicle property, and reckless driving.

Bail is set at $48,000.
