Central Point Police say they found 56-year-old Richard Metcalfe hiding in the city’s McDonalds on Pine Street
After an alarm at 2:30 Friday morning, police say it appears Metcalfe hid out until after closing hours then emerged when the staff had gone home.
“Mr. Metcalfe tried to operate one of the machines which caused a large mess, so there’s no physical damage in this case, but the damage is the inconvenience to the business of having to clean up the mess,” explains Lt. Scott Logue of Central Point Police.
Metcalfe, a transient, is no stranger to Central Point Police. He was booked on charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
