Valentines day is suppose to be all about hearts and roses…but in a time, with so much economic turmoil and staggering divorce numbers…some people are trying to make it a time to strengthen the loving bond of marriage. Abby
Adewunmi who is organizing the a Valentine event says.
” we get so busy we have to to celebrate love and this is a chance to do something different this year”
So what is this weekend all about it starts with a two day simulcast of Jim and Karen Evans “marriage on the rock seminar”.
They will talk about all those little things we do..to drive each other crazy…and how to change that.
Abby says ” they will discuss the how to gain financial intimacy…which is a big reason couples break up and they will also talk about second marriages because we want to give those families a better chance to survive”
Abby says it’s not all about the work…the two day event culminates with some fine dining and dancing.
“I call it a night on the town…and so many couples don’t get a chance to do that..dinner and dancing..it’s a way to fall in love again”
She says a weekend like this, could be the fresh start, a lot of couples need.
