Medford man found guilty of murder after beating man with golf club

Medford, Ore. — Travis Asbill was found guilty Wednesday of beating a Medford man to death with a golf club.

Jurors made the decision in 2 hours following closing arguments Wednesday in the trial surrounding the 2012 murder of Donald Mack.

The defense showed inconsistencies in the testimonies of three eye witnesses, and pointed to another person as a possible suspect.

Meanwhile, the prosecution reminded jurors of a note they say was written by Asbill while in jail.

It asked a friend to make up a story about how mack was killed.

The prosecution case won out. Asbill is now facing 25 years to life in prison.
