Medford To Hand Out Parking Passes

The city of Medford is making it a bit easier for you to get out and safely enjoy downtown this holiday season.

It’s a holiday safety parking pass, and itallows people to park in public areas overnight until 10 the next morning without getting a ticket.Restaurant and business owners with a license to sell liquor will be able to buy these parking passes and give them to people who might be too drunk to drive.

Mark Millner, of the Medford Parking Commission said,”It’s $1 pass to buy to be able to give to their patrons. We thought for $1 to save a life, it was well worth the investment.”

The holiday parking passes are aimed at curbing drunk driving after holiday parties or outings. The program will be active through January.
