Mopping Up The Pacifica Fire

Fire crews say theyare making tremendous progress on the Pacifica Fire.

Officials with the Oregon State Fire Marshal say that a number of strike teams from across the state have demobilized and returned home.

They say at the peak of the fire 150 structures were threatened, and crews were able to save all but one home, six outbuildings, and one vehicle.

500 acres were burned, butthat number is expected to changed as a more detailed map of the area is conducted.

Crews say that the majority of the fire is out and they are now only attending to hotspots.

Fortunately there were no major injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
