Mount Shasta, Cali. — A Mount Shasta man is in the hospital Friday night after police say someone attacked him with a shotgun.
Mount Shasta Police say 49 year-old Mark Henderson told them he was attacked from behind on the site of a former lumber mill called the “Roseburg Property.”
Henderson was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
When police deployed a helicopter they were able to locate a camp on a section of the property. There they arrested 50 year-old David John Tilley.
Officers say a shotgun, shotgun shells and “other evidence” were found at the scene.
Tilley is in the Siskiyou County Jail charged with attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
