Ashland, Ore. — A new marijuana ordinance is in effect in Ashland Wednesday night after a vote from the City Council.
The council voted Tuesday night to adopt land use ordinance amendments which create standards for the allowable size, scale, and location of marijuana grown outside, among other issues.
One of the amendments includes being allowed to grow four plants outside a home for recreational use or six plants per lot for medical marijuana.
The ordinance goes into effect immediately, rather than waiting the customary 30 days.
