Central Point, Ore. — After making it to the Super Bowl this year, former NFL star, Jared Allen makes a stop in Central Point this morning to give a very deserving war veteran a big gift, a home.
Allen has given the NFL 12 years of hard hitting plays as a star defensive end but his heart has always been in giving back to our veterans.
Today the Jared Allen Homes for Wounded Warriors foundation started construction on a home for Jed Morgan, a former marine who lost both of this legs from an IED blast in Afghanistan. Even though his legs were taken away, Morgan says he is now more blessed than ever.
Jared Allen’s foundation hopes to have the home completed by this November. It will also be the first time Morgan and his wife will be able to call themselves homeowners.
