Obama expected to urge congress to cut middle class taxes

Expanding America’s economic comeback is the theme of President Obama’s State of the Union Tuesday night. He’s also expected to talk about the rising income gap and tax hikes and breaks.

The White House says President Obama also plans to urge congress to cut taxes for the middle class.

NBC5 News hit the streets of Medford to hear what you think about how this could effect them.

“I think it’s important for the President to keep in mind those middle class, said David Squyres.

“It just seems like the upper class and the lower class seem to get all of the cuts, but the middle class seems to be forgotten, says Denise Radasa, “it would make a significant difference with my household.”

The President will also call on congress to get rid of tax breaks that allow the wealthy to shield their millions by giving their money to the children.
