The sun is shining and summer is almost here and if you’re looking for something to do —
The Oregon Cabaret Theater hopes to lure you to one of their upbeat performances.
For the last 25 years — the Oregon Cabaret Theater has been a staple Ashland attraction. They’ve presented more than 270 shows for tourists and locals to enjoy.
This summer they’re showcasing a performance they say is sure to be a hit.
“We’re really excited about this show it’s so much fun…those poppy kind of show it’s in that vein…a lot of duwop and 50s and 60s music.” Says Christopher Patterson, director and choreographer for the show “Life Could Be A Dream.”
He says it isn’t something you’ve seen before… “The show takes place in 1962, we’re giving it a 2012 touch…trying to branch out and give a little bit of an edge to what you normally see.”
And he says the best part: it’s family friendly.
“I just think it’s a great evening, if people like to have fun and bring their kids. It’s very light but still very energetic.”
Officials at the Oregon Cabaret Theater say despite the down economy, ticket sales have been steady.
People are still willing to dig out a little extra cash for some local entertainment says Patterson. “We have a great group of people, great singers.”
Singers — who will be performing throughout the summer at this season’s oregon cabaret production — “Life Could Be A Dream.”
