Oregon State Police See Increase In New Years D.U.I.I. Arrests

Troopers with Oregon State Police were extremely busy New Years weekend, trying to keep the roadways safe.

The agency reporting they had a total of 73 D.U.I.I. arrests between Friday, December 28, and Tuesday, January 1 at 6 am.

That number is up from 53arrests reported during the same period last year.

Both the Central Point and Grants Pass Command Offices each reported 3 D.U.I.I. arrests New Years Eve.

TheGold Beach and Klamath Falls offices each reported 2 D.U.I.I. arrests.

While celebrations have started to wind down, authorities say if you ever planning on drinking, plan ahead andfind an alternative ride home.
