OSP involved in two pursuits Saturday night

TREVOR HALLJosephine Co., Ore. — Oregon State Police responded to two pursuits in Josephine county Saturday night, with one of them ending across the Jackson county border. Troopers said the first one began around 9 PM, in Grants Pass.

Police said they tried to stop the driver, Trevor Hall, 21, in a 2006 Toyota Tacoma for speeding. OSP said Hall then fled, before eventually stopping and turning himself in. He was arrested for DUII.

Around 2 a-m, troopers said they tried to pull over a stolen 2004 Toyota Tacoma near Grants Pass. They said it turned into a pursuit, and crossed over into Jackson county. Troopers said the driver led them onto Upper River road near Gold Hill.

The driver abandoned the car in that area, and police pursued with a canine on foot, but the suspect got away. Police have not provided a description of that driver, but say they are investigating.
