Parent Education Day held at RCC

PARENTING CLASS PICMEDFORD, Ore. — An all-day class had the roles reversed– kids stayed at home while the adults hit the classroom for Parent Education Day.

The seminar, sponsored by AllCare Health, was held at Rogue Community College in Medford, and included a number of workshops, including early childhood education, and living in mixed families. Child psychotherapist and national speaker Tina Payne Bryson also presented.

“The purpose of the conference is to strengthen family’s resilience, and to support parents in their knowledge of child development,” Teresa Dean said, an organizer of the event from the Southern Oregon Early Learning Hub.

Dean said they hope to have another seminar next year.
