‘Pint Rider’ patrons can now drink while pedaling

Medford, Ore. — Patrons on the Pint Rider can now drink alcohol while pedaling the group bike through Medford. On Thursday, the Medford City Council voted to allow riders to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while on the bike.

Previously, they could only drink at the restaurants and bars they stopped at. Now, patrons can pour their own beer or wine into plastic cups, and take them along for the ride.

Owner Nathan Olsen says it’s what a majority of his customers have been asking for.

“People are going to want to stay on the bike more, and have the bike more of a social time, than try to hurry and get to the next stop,” Olsen said.

The bike offers tours throughout the week. It can hold up to 15 people, and has pedals for each rider.
