Plans for Costco relocation to Central Point set to be released soon

01105E00-YFXQTMedford, Ore. — The plans for Costco to relocate to Central Point will soon be available to the public.

NBC5 first told you about the company’s interest in the city in August.

Central Point Community Development Director Tom Humphrey says once the Washington-based retailer’s application for the 18 acre parcel of land is complete, much of the packet will be posted to the city’s website.

Humphrey says construction on the new building could start as early as next spring and could open by this time next year.

The plans for the new Costco have it 18 percent larger than the current location on Crater Lake Highway.
