Police investigate robbery at Grants Pass Motel 6

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is investigating a robbery at the Motel 6 on the north end of town. Police are interviewing four suspects, as the investigation continues to unfold.

The initial call came in as an armed robbery, but now, police are working to determine exactly what happened.

Police say the victim called 911 just before 1 PM on Monday, saying that he was robbed at gunpoint. They say he was able to provide a description of the four suspects, and the car they were in.

An officer spotted that car a short time later at Walmart, and the four, two men and two women, were taken into custody. Police say there is conflicting information in the case, and they are interviewing the four suspects now.

Because the investigation is ongoing, charges have not been filed. Stay with NBC5 News for the latest information.
