Police searching for suspects in downtown Medford random attack

Medford, Ore. – Two male suspects remain outstanding, in what Medford Police are calling a random attack. Around 1:30 AM Sunday morning, police say two men and two women were walking down Front street near Porters, when two men began yelling at the group from across the street.

Police say the two couples continued walking toward their car, but didn’t realize the two men were following them. According to police, the two suspects assaulted the men of the group, using a concrete block, a hammer, and a scissor jack that they found in the area. The two victims were seriously injured, and one of them was taken to an area hospital.

“One male sustained a pretty significant head injury, following after being struck with the concrete block,” Lieutenant Mike Budreau said.

The suspects left the scene before police arrived. They are described as white men in their 20’s.

“One of our goals was to try and establish, based on the clothing description if they were in other bars in downtown Medford, if we could catch them on video, and possibly identify them that way,” Lt. Budreau said.

If you have any information in this case, you are asked to call Medford Police.
