Port Orford Remains May Have Been Identified

Tonight police say they may know the identity of the man whose remains were found at a Port Orford RV Park in early March. According to authorities, it’s possible the remains belong to 74-year-old Charles Owen Starks who lived in the Anchor Inn RV Park. Police say Starks’ son confessed to burying his father under the trailer after he died of natural causes. But despite his father’s death, he kept receiving and using Starks’ social security checks. Starks’ son is facing charges from the social security administration and the Curry County District Attorney’s Office. The investigation is still on-going.
