With 3.72 inches of rainfall, it was the seventh wettest March in Medford’s history but it didn’t come close to beating last years record.
In 2011, 4.62 inches of rain fell in March making it the third wettest March ever recorded.
The average rainfall for Medford during the month of March is 2.15 inches.
Although areas of Southern Oregon and the Coast saw more rainfall that usual, our river levels are still two inches below average.
Meteorologist say with a possible drier April ahead it may be hard to catch up.
