Medford Police say Sanchez-Portillo broke into a home on the 400 block of Benson Street on Tuesday morning. Three children were upstairs called the police after hearing glass breaking.
MPD says they were on scene within minutes and arrested Sanchez-Portillo as he was walking away from the home.
Sanchez-Portillo is back behind bars and is facing burglary, possession of meth, and felon in possession of a weapon among other charges.
On Monday afternoon, MPD officers arrested Sanchez-Portillo after he ran from police following a traffic violation. He was finally taken into custody after police say he grabbed a woman in the hallway, and forced her to unlock her apartment so he could hide. He surrendered soon after.
