Record a thank-you to firefighters at the Josephine County Fair

GRANTS PASS, Ore. —  This year at the Josephine County Fair, you can get info on wildfires burning nearby and thank the firefighters working them while you’re at it.

Public information officers set up a booth to give the public a good look at the Klondike and Taylor Creek fires.

They also have a way for you to record a thank-you to firefighters. Those thank-yous will be put together to give to the crews after the fair is over.

“As we drive around the community, we feel it, but they don’t always get to hear it because they’re in places where the general public can’t be all the time. So, this is the public’s opportunity to show their appreciation,” explained Michael Pruitt with the Alaska Incident Managment Team.

The fire information stand will be there for the rest of the fair. You can find it in the commercial exhibit building.
