It started out as a way for Michelle Bellamy to celebrate her birthday…by playing a little music with friends…now fam jam is so much more. Bellamy says…
“I decided to make a change…we have raise over 20 thousand dollars for local charities around the rogue valley”
Michelle says it’s not just about the money they raise, but how they can use music…to raise awareness of what’s important.
“were bringing purpose to why we play music and raise awareness to a cause really important in the valley. It brings purpose to what were doing as an artist”
The night also includes that same celebration atmosphere that got fam-jam rolling and that comes from the music as well.
“We come together as a family as artist to share our music. sometimes someone will know somebody and just jump on stage and jam with somebody..and sometime they won’t know them and just jam with them…music is a language …and Fam Jam is an ability to come together and speak our language”
Each month…the artist’s melody…carries on.. to help strangers across the rogue valley.
