Rogue Valley youth meet for political luncheon

MEDFORD, Ore. — Rogue Valley youth got in on the political discussion on Saturday. Conservative political commentator Bill Whittle led the talk, with the topic, “Are Republicans really intolerant and elitist?”

Anyone age 17 to 25 of any political background  was invited to attend.

“I saw that the name was, ‘GOP: Smashing the Stigma,’ so I wanted to come and expand my knowledge on what the GOP really stood for, and since I am a Democrat, and I am for Bernie [Sanders], I wanted to check it out and come see what they had to say.”

Discussions included the history of the GOP, as well as how politics plays a role in world events. The event was held at the Inn at the Commons, and provided lunch for attendees.
