(NBC News) A third student has died from her injuries in Friday’s school shooting.
Overnight, 14-year-old Gia Soriano died. She was one of the victim’s from Friday’s shooting in Marysville, Washington.
A doctor read a statement from the family, saying in part “We are devastated by this senseless tragedy. Gia is our beautiful daughter and words cannot express how much we will miss her.”
There were prayers Sunday for the families of those killed: now three students, including one believed to be the shooter.
Two more remain in critical care.
The shooting happened just days before Washington voters decide on whether to require background checks for everyone who buys a gun in that state.
